Why web training?

We provide competence development such as consulting, open training or internal training. In order to get the most out of an education, we prefer that we can meet on site for training and courses, but under certain circumstances, distance learning/web training/webinarcan be an option. Below you can read about how we think about distance learning and which products are best suited. Please contact us for further information.

Overview of our online courses

Web training or webinars can NOT be carried out in exactly the same way as courses where the participants are present. Therefore, we have created a guideline for the implementation of web training and webinars so that you as a participant will get as much as possible even though you can not physically attend.

This guideline consists of the following parts:

  • Tools and methods
  • Room
  • Performance
  • Teacher training
  • Training material
  • Knowledge test

Tools and methods at our online training

We use the well-known tool Zoom for the implementation of distance training and so-called Break-Out Rooms for group exercises. Thus, group work can be carried out with almost the same “efficiency” as exercises on site.
We use good quality technical equipment and at least two cameras to switch between different views, such as a camera facing a wyteboard and one towards the course leader.
To reduce the risk of interruption or disruption of the transmission, we have requirements for internet capacity and WiFi for the premises we use. If possible, we use a cable connection for internet communication.

Rooms for quality assurance

Although the training takes place online, the venue is important to get a sense of space and commitment among the course participants. Therefore, we carry out distance training as a rule from a conference room at one of the hotels in the elite hotel chain that we work with. In order to avoid the risk of interference or lack of quality of internet connections, for example, we only carry out distance learning in a home environment for special occassions.

Performance

Implementation is of the utmost importance in web-learning in order to ensure that the pedagogical effect is as great as possible. Each web-learning course therefore has a voluntary pre-meeting with participants for those who want to get acquainted with group work in Teams or Zoom, (Break-Out rooms), and how we conduct course exams. We ensure that microphones are usually turned off, but urge to have camera turned on and we try to have a continuous dialogue with the participants and frequent interruptions and many exercises.

Course material

The training material in our distance learning is based on the course material available for on-site training as a conference, but has in some cases been adapted with new or changed exercises that are better adapted to distance learning.
As a rule, you get a course binder sent to before the course starts in some cases also includes the book on which the course is based.

Knowledge test

We believe that course tests are an important part of all courses regardless of whether they are conducted on site or as an online/web training. In the latter case, it is of even greater importance and we carry these out as a rule via the survey tool Survey Monkey. Both questions and answer options alternate between the participants, which means that each sample is individually individual.
